So, as it turns out, I have neglected this space for the last couple of months. It has been a busy, but great summer. The concert season with the Colorado Music Festival was fantastic – great sounding orchestra, great programs, and great people! You can check out some of the reviews from the summer here.
Since the festival has ended, I’ve been traveling around the country to visit with the marching bands that I work for writing and programing. This has been a blast. It is really wonderful to find great young musicians who are so committed to their own success. It is also very cool to see all of the months of planing and writing pay off. Best of luck to all of the competitive programs out there – have a great season!
Lastly, I have been furiously planning for an upcoming New Music Raleigh concert on September 12th. More details on that will be forthcoming, but if you are in Raleigh on the 12th, come check it out.
